I have released this tiny update after receiving a lot of requests via email (and posts on this website).
Added: Ability to enter default websites for Music & Video. You can now switch between these in the Search tab.
Fixed: A small bug when moving files.

Great app!
but: is there a possibilty to deactivate the video
support for the safari add-on.
Some streaming videos can´t be played correctly,
there is sound for example, but I can´t see the video.
The page can´t be displayed correctly.
(e.g. http://podcast.kiwipix.net/)
Thx

The Fast Forward button doesn’t seem to work with any of the podcasts that I’ve downloaded and transfered to my iPhone. Holding it down does nothing. Once you release it it just starts the mp3 over again.
One of the features that I really liked in pocket tunes on my Treo was the Tivo like 30 second skip ahead (it also had 5, 10 and 15 second skip buttons). If dTunes had this it would be the perfect podcast app.

Fantastic, I remember leaving a comment here the other day about missing the video search in the same pane in 2.3 but I didn’t know others would be missing the feature too.
Just got the 2.4 update in Cydia and video search on same pane is back. That’s so responsive. This design is so much more accessible, cleaner and functional than 2.3 IMHO. Thanks for this great app.

this is a awesome program I use it more than than default iPod app. A couple of improvements I missed from moving from winblows mobile is an EQ in the app. As it is right now this app dosent see the default EQ settings in the music prefs. Even if the default EQ can be used I prolly won’t use the default iPod app.. Thanks for this great app and constant updates very good reponse to the users great development attitude.

Good work on dTunes Richard! Would it deviate too much from dTunes core functionality to add a way to import a ompl file or a bunch of rss Podcast feeds so we don’t have to wait for Podcaster to get on Cydia? I’d dig having dTunes be my one-stop-shop iPod add replacement.

Nice tool, i like it! Tanks!
Some feature requests in o)
- support of cover which embedded in mp3 file
- a way to play a complete directory hierarchy pressing by pressing ‘play ‘ in or on a folder
- support of ogg
Two little problems/bugs?
- the scroll-bar in the top folder is missing (not displayed), directly in ‘Downloads’
- I’ve tried to create Directories with links to the mp3 files adapt something like ‘play-lists’, this work’s pretty good as long as the file or link count in the directory is not too big. When i create a directory with 1000 links or mp3 files dTunes hangs totally when selecting this folder

I LUV THIS APP!!!!
seriously is what napster was in 1998!! thanks and enjoy my $10 donation!
as for features i’d like to be added:
-option to have it so the app will not lock the iphone and in turn disconnect the download
-problems with search window focus when searching in Seeqpod; not always consistent
-add playlist options (like others have requested)
-keep up great work!!!

great app! i love it!
for those who use MxTube and dTunes I find quite useful to create a symlink to be able to play MxTube videos on dTunes..
ln -s /var/mobile/Media/MxTube/ /var/mobile/Library/Downloads/MxTube

as someone else has stated, the dtunes download and play in browser button
controls now show up on all Safari media sites and
prevent them from being played. Can this be fixed? Even if I uninstall dTunes the problem continues.

I have tried everything horchi did with the same results. Just wanted to let you know more than one person has tried this.
The only thing I would add as a request is that if the player encounters a symlink and no cover art in that directory, that it try to find the cover art in the place where the actual file is stored. This gets away from the bloat of storing the cover art in every mp3 while still allowing us to build playlists by using symlinks.

How’s it going? I may have changed the original video browser and tried to type it back in as http://www.tinytube.com, I think that was the original one but it’s not letting me view any videos. What is it that I should do? Does anyone know that original video browser?

The fix to disabling the ‘click to download’ screen and skipping to the streaming I the orignal site’s content is SIMPLE!! Download bosspreffs and (if it is not installed as a default toggle in bp’s) download the Internet downloader toggle for bp’s in cydia, go into bp’s and turn the downloader OFF. Now go to the sites you want to view with the ‘download’ page and problem solved. If I’ve written anything wrong or if I’ve left a step out feel free to send me questions at pendleton_182 [at] yahoo [dot] com.
I too have encountered and have a question about what ms cookies was talking about, when I want to watch movies from megadwnload I can, except for certain ones… It displays the good ol’ “Video Format Not Supported” message. Dammit! Idk what to do cuz I have other videos downloaded that are .mp4 format and have no problem watching them whatsoever… If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.
