Installation Issues: For users having problems with Safari after installing dTunes. This is related to the Safari Plugin 2.0. Simply download Boss Prefs from Cydia (along with the Safari Plugin add-on) and then you can turn OFF the Safari download. This will have to be turned back on when using dTunes.

dTunes 2.1 & 2.2 have generated over 97,000 downloads and counting!

Here are some example screenshots of browsing folders, moving items and the new Settings screen:

Any chance you will make dTunes open source? Great work, by the way. I just discovered dTunes a couple of days ago. I thought, “Damn, this is great. If only it did…” Then tonight I found your site and you’ve implemented all of my “if only”s. :) Not only that, but I turn around to Cydia and POW, just in time for the update to drop. You made my evening. Thanks for all the hard work.

    Dear Richard,

The programme is great – I use it to play mp3’s sshed to the iphone, almost like in a normal mp3 player. Not the the lame way Apple wants us to be.

I’ve found a very strange bug. When playing swithches t a track named
Animals – House Of The Rising Sun.mp3
the app hangs for a while, then starts scrolling songs like crazy, not responding to any buttons.
I can upload the file somewhere so you can test.

The over thing is when you controll sound by hardbuttons, the slider inside dTunes doen’t cahnge. It works the opposite though.

Thanks and continue the great job!

And one more thing: is id3 tag v1.0 not supported?

It would be great if there is any way that you would change the delete functionality back to normal, every time i want to delete a file i have to move it to the top and drop it in the trash, which is pretty annoing when you have a lot of files in one folder.

Thanks anyway for the great app, if you could release it as open source it would be even better, so please consider it.

    Greetings

Great work! This is a really fun app. Is there any solution to have dtunes songs imported straight to the ipod library on the iphone?? it seems like the only thing missing. if songs could go straight into the ipod library we could listen to them in the background and use the ipod controls. this would be great. is there any solution? thanks. keep up the good work!

  6. Jason Says:

one clarification… by import i mean not by means of ssh to the computer itunes then back ti iphone… i mean a solution to do on the go straight from the iphone. maybe its a matter of changing the folder directory with songs are downloaded? i’m not sure.. anyways thanks.

I liked the previous verson’s music and video tabs on the same screen, now we have to go to settings and insert the video site url. This seems a step backward in accessing the features of dtunes. Can we have the video music screen together in the next version.

  8. Charles Says:

interesting bug. seems when I move a mp3 into a folder I made (we’ll call it music) and then try to move it back to the parent directory from music, the app crashes. seems to be a consistent bug.

  9. Rabanjr Says:

    Where did the Video go?

  10. rsdev Says:

    Thanks for the feedback.

I’ve sent a small update to MMi for the repo.

It includes a Video section and fixes the bug found above.

    Thanks

I’d really like it if there was. A way. To. Put. Music into the iPod.

  13. Mitch!! Says:

when I use the switch on the side to change the volume the volume bar in dtunes dose not move ?? Can some one help

  14. Tasinet Says:

Great app. Its fun to download a song instantly rather than make a note on your phone and then forget.

Any. Way to. Load mp3s. In the native ipod library? That would sure rock the boat.
