CarTrack v1.0 (for iPhone / iTouch 2.0+) – http://www.CarTrackApp.com/

Take your car for a test drive and let your iPhone or iPod Touch show you the results.

CarTrack tells you real-time how fast you are going, how much acceleration (g-force) you are feeling and what your test time is. After the test, you can look at detailed, zoomable graphs of the entire test run. They tell you horsepower and distance traveled, in addition to speed, acceleration and g-forces. All of them in metric units (meters, km/h) or imperial units (yards, mph) as you desire.

CarTrack can save your test runs so you can look at all the graphs and details again. Compare the test with your other runs – before and after tweaking your engine – or with your tests in other cars. A state-of-the-art calibration routine gives you maximum accuracy with any car mount you use to fix your device.

You can do a 0-to-60, quarter mile, 10 second and other types of test, or just keep recording until you hit Stop.
This is a full-featured application, made by a community of car enthusiasts!

- Renaming of Files & Folders (double tap while in edit mode)

Installation Issues: For users having problems with Safari after installing dTunes. This is related to the Safari Plugin 2.0. Simply download Boss Prefs from Cydia (along with the Safari Plugin add-on) and then you can turn OFF the Safari download. This will have to be turned back on when using dTunes.

Custom Artwork and Folder Support

For some reason I can’t seem to put this app down at the moment.

The following features have been implemented and will be released soon.

- keeps playing music after pressing home button
- support for folders & sub folders
- displays artwork file (you’ll need to rename any image files “cover.png” and just drop them in the appropriate directory (the screen size is 320×320 and images will be scaled to this size).

Seems like version 2.2 is popular with over 20,000 downloads in less than 24 hours.

Another thing I saw today was a how-to video on YouTube from shananay which was cool to see. I won’t post the link as it’s for the initial version.

dTunes : Update + Installation Issues

There has been a good response from dTunes. Thanks all for the feedback and comments.

This app was created in just over a day as a concept.

I’ll try and look into a few suggestions later this week. (eg: movies, volume controls, elapsed time, track renaming and possibly syncing).

Installation Issues: There have been a few posts regarding installation issues or uninstalling the app and problems afterwards. Please note that dTunes does not install anything that is connected to Safari, nor does it have any code linked with Seeqpod. You can see this by checking a list of the files installed and their location inside Cydia.

If you have problems with Safari then I would recommend you uninstall the Safari Plugin 2.0. This plugin allows users to download content from the browser. Unfortunately I did not write this code and so cannot comment further. A simple uninstall, and maybe a reboot should fix majority of issues though.

I have also read that you can install “BossPrefs” from Cydia and in there you can turn off the Safari Plugin. This might be a better solution if users want to keep dTunes installed.
